AexcelSM Specialist Network

If you live in certain geographic areas, you can take advantage of the Aexcel specialist network. However, if enrolled in the Choice Plus plan (Choice Plus POS (Point of Service) or Part-Time Choice Plus POS), you will save when you use a specialist who belongs to the Aexcel network. Your copay will be reduced to $5 and you do not need a referral. The Aexcel specialist network is a broad network of health care providers that have demonstrated their ability to deliver cost-effective care with fewer complications and repeat procedures. Aexcel providers practice in the following 12 specialties:
  • Cardiology
  • Cardiothoracic surgery
  • Gastroenterology
  • General surgery
  • Neurology
  • Neurosurgery
  • Obstetrics and gynecology
  • Orthopedics
  • Otolaryngology
  • Plastic surgery
  • Urology
  • Vascular surgery

You may take advantage of the Aexcel network – for savings and clinical excellence – if you live in one of the following areas (effective January 1, 2008):

  • Arizona (except 466)
  • CaliforniaLos Angeles, Northern California (except 125, 133, 136), Central Valley (except 29, 438, 464, 471, 765, 771), San Diego (except 121)
  • Colorado (except 637)
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Florida (except 351, 354, 621)

  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Michigan (except 744, 784)
  • Missouri (except 368, 382)

  • Ohio

  • Washington – Seattle
  • Washington DC - Metro
