Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment Plan | |
The Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Plan pays a benefit in the event of your accidental death or other types of injuries within 365 days of a covered accident. These benefits are paid in addition to any Life benefits.
Benefits for You (Only)
Basic AD&D coverage is available only for employees. The benefit amount depends on your employee classification and years of service. If you are a salaried or full-time employee and had two or more years of service at the end of 2003, your Basic AD&D benefit equals three (3) times your base annual earnings. If you had less than two years of service, your benefit is as shown below:

Base Annual Earnings
Life and AD&D benefit amounts are based on your base annual earnings, which are:
- For hourly employees, current hourly wage times 2,080 hours
- For salaried employees, current annual pay
